Terry Watson has been a professional photographer for 25 years. From the beginning of his career he demonstrated a mastery of lighting and composition. He got his first job from Rolling Stone due to his technical acumen with mixture boards. His success led to album covers and concert photos for Journey, Goo Goo Dolls, and Foreigner. Soon after he mastered portraiture and began selling photos to Hallmark, Coca-Cola, and Guess. His ability to produce iconic photos won numerous photo contests including a photo of Half Dome that appeared on bankcards for Union Bank of California, and floral arrangements for FTD Florists. Before moving to San Diego Terry owned a photo studio in Rocklin, California which was featured in the local news three times for his unique compositions and use of sepia and hand painting.
Terry is now based in San Diego and specializing in children, families and portraiture. His philosophy for any photo session is to have fun. Parents watching his shoots often comment, “How did you get those shots?” Terry works from multiple outdoor and indoor locations according to your preference. He is also a specialist in commercial photography and is available for events and weddings. When he’s not in San Diego Terry is photographing Hawaiian Tropics Beauty Pageants, or menus for the fine eateries of Rosarito and Ensenada, such as Papas & Beer.
